My Morning Playlist

In my opinion everyone should walk out the door in the morning ready to face the day with a smile, for some of us (myself included) finding the confidence to walk down the street feeling fabulous is hard. This is why I made a playlist of what I think are some of the best songs to get me smiling and feeling beautiful in the morning!
(NOTE: I know some of these songs are cheesy and not everyone favorite but I can not lie,
all of them make me smile)

It has almost run out.... HELP!!!

I am very upset right now because I have just seen that one of my all time favorite products is about to
(well pretty much has) run out and as my last post was all about Lipsticks I am keeping with that theme...

As you can see my Lancome Rouge A Levres Attraction has been well loved and well used. As one of my first high end lipsticks I have loved this for a long time (you could most likely tell that by the state of the packaging).

The colour, Rose Impulsion is my perfect colour, a beautiful shade of pink with a small amount of shimmer making it perfect for both day time and evening. It is not to heavy on the lips and the colour lasts for a long time.

The packaging (although now a little worse for where) was also beautiful and classy and it made me smile whenever I pulled it out of my make up bag. Sadly Lancome discontinued this line of lipstick and I have yet to find a colour that matches it in any of there current lipstick collections - sad face!

Hope you enjoyed this post, I am off to mourn the loss of a amazing lipstick!

No.2 Girl Next Door Pink
Revlon Colour Burst Lip Butter - 025 Peach Parfait

Love love love this pink/rose colour - my everyday lipstick!
Shiny finish and feels lovely on your lips - not to heavy, a light layer goes a long way.
Can be used with a day time or night time look.

No.3 The Wild Card
Not a shade people expect me to love - But I do!
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - 535 Rum Raisin

I am not really a darker lipstick kinda girl, but this beautiful rum colour is one of my favorites!
It is very much a night time colour and looks amazing with a thin layer of clear gloss on top.
Like all over Revlon lipstick it has a lovely smooth, glossy finish and lasts for at least a good 4/5 hours.

A Disappointment - 1

I do a lot of research before buying new beauty/ skin care produces, because of this I get really disappointed when something is not as good as I had hoped. This 'A Disappointment' post will hopefully not be a regular one (as I would much rather be doing rave reviews on wonderful products) however I think it is important to inform you lovely people on the products that were in my opinion, not that great!

A Disappointment No.1

Mac Make-Up Wipes

I would first like to say that I do LOVE the Mac Make up line, I use there foundation, concealer and mineralize skin finish everyday and the Fix + is a lifesaver on long days. Because of this I was really looking forward to trying out the Mac Make-up Wipes. They come in a nice big pack (100 sheets) and the packaging is simple but with the Mac style. These wipes are great at taking off make-up, sadly that is the only good thing about them. They are very greasy to touch and leave your skin feeling really oily, almost unclean. I found that after a few days of using them I was getting big red spots on my forehead and chin - Not very nice at all. The smell is not bad but not nice, reminds me of chemicals - again not very nice.
All things considered I have to give these wipes a big thumbs down!

Check out the BEST make up wipes EVER:

My Top 5 Beauty Bloggers

Day 3 and yet another wonderful beauty blogger,
number 3...

The Beauty Ruth Crilly
(A Model Recommends)

Like most of the other lovely ladies in my top 5 list I first came across Ruth Crilly on YouTube, her videos always put a smile on my face whether it be one of her quick and easy make up tutorials or packed xmas gift guides. I know this sounds silly (as I am from the UK) but I love her accent!
Her blog is full of everything a beauty addict like me could wish for and for that I think she more than deserves a place in my Top 5.

How To Pick Your A Levels

It is around this time that Year 11 students are getting ready to make up their minds about the A Levels they will be taking in college/sixth form next year. As someone who went though the same thing last year I thought I would do a post about my top 3 rules when picking your subjects....

Rule 1
Check What You Need For The Next Step Of Education
This rule really only makes sense if you know what you want to do for a career, it is perfectly okay to have no idea about your next step after college (many of my mates did not have a clue) but if you are sure about your path e.g. university, check what you need subject-whys for that course. You don't want to get to applying for your degree and not have the right subjects.

Rule 2
Don't Pick Your Subjects For Any Other Reason But You
Don't pick a subject because your best mate is doing it, don't pick a subject because your boyfriend/girlfriend is doing it, don't pick a subject because you favorite teacher is timetabled to teach it. Everyone is difference and what is right for your friends may not be right for you, don't let anyone else influence your subjects.

Rule 3
Pick Subjects You Enjoy!!!
This is the most important rule!
If you don't enjoy your subjects and don't have a strong interest in them you are going find it hard to find the motivation to study and learn. The more you enjoy a subject the more easy and fun you will find you education, so pick the subjects you love!

Hope this helped!

My Top 5 Beauty Bloggers

I am very new to the whole beauty blogging thing and I thought I should do some public thanking to the wonderful ladies that made me want to pick up my laptop and create my own beauty blog. Once a day for 5 days I will be counting down my 5 favorite beauty bloggers and telling you why I love them, so lets start with number 5...

The Wonderful  Tanya Burr!

I have always loved Tanya Burr videos on YouTube and I have been following her blog for about 8 months and it is one I am always checking for updates. Her reviews give me all the info I could want about the products and her wonderful make up tutorials are lovely to watch and easy to follow, I could never do smoky eyes until I watched her video. Thanks You Tanya Burr!!!!

The Best Make-Up Wipes EVER!!!

So you name them I have tried them... Mac, Clean and Clear, Simple. Witch, Johnson, No.7, Olay, the list goes on and on! With so many under my belt I feel I know Make up wipes pretty well. It is because of this I feel very confident when I say 'I have found the best make up wipes ever!' and here they are...

The Simple Exfoliating facial wipes are without a doubt the best make up wipes I have ever used.
The smooth side removes all make up (including water proof eye products) and cleanses skin and the exfoliating side helps to remove dead skin cells and other impurities. The great blend of multi-vitamins and skin loving ingredient leaves skin feeling amazing and really clean and fresh! As someone who has spot prone skin I was over joyed to see a reduction in the amount of spots and redness on my face once I started used these wipes. If you have oily or spot prone skin and would definitely recommend these wipes to you, I am sure you will be as impressed as I was.

The packaging is simple (Ha! get it) and stylist.
The price tag is also great, £3.99 from superdrug.

My Everyday Skin Care

I have had problem skin in the past and after trying many different products (the good, the bad and the down right terrible) I have now got a skin care plan that I am very happy with, so I thought it only right that my first post in the ‘Skin Care’ section of my blog be about my favourite and everyday skin care products.
I start with the Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash.    Image
Why this product is great in the morning:
It is like a Wake up call for your skin, the smooth cream feels lovely and once washed off you are left with a healthy glow – which lets face it is what we all want in the morning!
Why this product is great in the evening:
Once you have rubbed all your make up off it is nice to put such a gently and light wash on your face and (I know it sounds really silly) but your skin dose feel really clean after you have used this product, all the daily impurities have been washed away.
It is a nice price as well: You can pick it up right now from Superdrug for £1.79
Once I have washed my face I spray on some LUSH TEA TREE TONER WATER
Image
Why this product is WONDERFUL:
Well to start Tea Tree is a wonder antibacterial ingredient for anyone with oily or spot prone skin, as someone who does have spot prone skin I can tell you can see the difference in a matter of days. The water also is very cooling and a nice refreshing addition to any skin care plan. It also smells lovely!
You can pick a bottle from Lush from: £3.95 for 100g or £7.25 for 250g
Next I use the LOVELY JUBBLIES BREAST CREAM (from Lush)
Image
Okay so I know it is rather odd (and very embarrassing) to use breast cream on your face, however the firming proprieties in this cream do wonders around your eyes (no extra eye cream needed – killing 2 birds with 1 stone). The cream is very thick and therefore a great moisturizer, it does take a good 20 mins for the cream to absorb (not great for those with little time in the morning) but once absorbed your skin is left feeling soft and smooth. It is a just base to apply Make up.
Pick up a 100g pot from Lush for £16.50
Hope you enjoyed this Post!
